Killed In Action MissionWith the war in the North halted the North Vietnamese moved their defenses onto the Ho Chi Minh Trail. USAF responded by flying more sorties in southern Laos. On a mission to destroy an anti-aircraft gun position near Ban Kapay, 25 miles west of the DMZ, Capt Clarkís aircraft was hit by 23mm ground fire and he crashed before he was able to eject.
